Dr. Edmund “Ed” Yepez grew up in St. Louis County and attended the Parkway Schools Weber Elementary (currently the Creve Coeur City Hall) and East Junior High (now Northeast Middle School). He graduated from DeSmet Jesuit High School in 1980.
He completed his undergraduate degree in chemistry in 1984, and received his degree in dentistry from Washington University in St. Louis in 1988.
“To be all” he “Could Be”, Dr. Yepez continued his training by joining the U.S. Army. While in the Army, he was awarded a general practice residency at Ft. Carson, Colorado.
He spent six years in the Army, attaining the rank of major. He was stationed in Colorado, Korea, California and Kansas.
(If you, or your family, have military experience, please tell him!)
After leaving the Army, he came home and completed his orthodontic training at St. Louis University, graduating from that program in 1997.
Fortune smiled upon him again when he joined the practice of Donald R. Oliver (the man who originally inspired Dr. Yepez, then a teenager, to become an orthodontist)! Dr. Oliver is a mentor, advisor and friend.
Dr. Yepez has been enjoying private practice since 1998. The Yepez family in St. Louis consists of his wife, Michelle, and children, Christina and Nathaniel.
His hobbies are skiing, bicycling and talking about cars!
